MID-TABLE Royton dented Heywood's title hopes as they defeated the Crimble
club at home by 121 runs.
Professional Iqbal Imam scored 113 which was the cornerstone of Royton's innings
of 227 for seven.
Matthew Ward (26), Warren Teall (19) and Denny Hulme (18) offered the main
batting support.
Johan Botha, Heywood's paid man, was their most successful bowler, claiming four
wickets for 74 from 18 overs.
Rare off days by Bobby Cross and Botha meant that Heywood were bowled out for
106.
Guy Lovell took four wickets for 31 while there were three wickets apiece for
Glen Dickinson and Martin Bell.
