From the Oldham Advertiser
Royton lost by three wickets to Rochdale who this weekend
were crowned champions.
Stephen Oddy's six-wicket haul helped bowl Royton out for 145, Iqbal Imam making
46.
Victory was far from a formality as Rochdale hit 149 for seven in reply. But for
an unbeaten 81 from overseas amateur Gaekwad the champagne may still have been
on ice.
Martin Bell claimed four Rochdale wickets including the scalps of openers Peter
Wilcock and Tosh Arothe.
The derby defeat was Oldham's second loss in 24 hours as they went down by 10
wickets at Norden on Saturday.

Kennedy
and Gibbons watch this one go for six Rochdale runs. Royton put up a great
fight and had Rochdale wobbling on 56/5. But it was dropped catches that
cost them dear, Rochdale's overseas was dropped three times ont he way to an
unbeaten 81.
