ROYTON play Littleborough in the semi-finals of
the Burton Cup at The Paddock on Sunday.
The local side go into the match as underdogs as all-conquering Littleborough
have won the knock-out for each of the last three years.
Royton will have gained confidence, however, from their emphatic victories over
Oldham and Crompton en route to the semi-finals.
In the opening round, David Wilson scored 109 as Royton racked up 203 for nine
before dismissing Oldham for 41, Andrew Westphal taking five for 15.
Crompton were overcome equally emphatically in the second round. They were
bowled out for 128, Royton reaching their target for the loss of five wickets.
