LITTLEBOROUGH LIFT CLL TITLE
LITTLEBOROUGH were crowned champions of The Lake Garage CLL following
Saturday’s 67-run victory against local side Royton.
It brought to an end a successful season for the Hare Hill club which has won
five pieces of silverware.
They have landed the double of first and second-team championships and won the
aggregate trophy.
In addition, they have won the Inter-League Club Challenge Trophy and second
team Burton Cup.
The first team made absolutely certain of the CLL title with their home victory
against Royton.
Chris Schofield scored an unbeaten 67 and Mark Forden 50 as Boro hit 197 for six
from their 31 overs. Anthony Percy claimed five wickets for 73.
Royton were restricted to 130 for eight, professional Neil Broom top scoring
with 65.
