Mark Woodward made his return to Royton after a season as Professional at Austerlands in the Saddleworth league

soon got back to business.....
New opening pair Ward and Harding set about the Roytonians attack blasting a 60odd opening partnership....
Captain Lee Gibbons came to the crease and scored a few quick fire runs
Returnee Woody tried to perfect the forward defensive shot
But he seems to have played completely down the wrong line for this one...
And was plane spotting when this one went past the bat....
He seems to have put a few pounds on up at Austerlands as well.....
He did score a useful 27 though, as well as getting 2 wickets.

The Royton bowlers did their job on the field, Ryan Harding continuing his good day taking four wickets. there were two wickets apiece for Woodward and Neil Cook, Martin Bell taking only 1 wicket but only going for 6 runs from his 5 over opening spell. Former County player Guy Lovell picked up the last man after going for 37 runs in 4.3 overs.
