Pictures from the day

Westphal bowled well early on, and was well watched by Blakey

He hit the crease hard

but how could a man with technique like this score a century ?

Lees surveys the ground

before being called into action with a wayward throw

  Ooooo Harding !

The team celebrate the second Walsden wicket

but their pro soon followed with this lofted shot into the hands of Dickinson

who takes the congratulations

Anwar takes the opportunity to have a lie down (a stretch actually !)

Proctor couldn't wait for tea so had a nibble on something he found in his pocket from last weeks tea !

Sid races to save a single

Anwar can't believe that Blakey is still batting ? (He has got over 800 runs already this season now though)

After standing still watching the ball linger in the air above him, Sid manages to palm the ball to the floor.  Blakey went on to score 122 !!

Ryan the rabbit lives upto his name, a tired one though

Sid takes the lads through the drop catch

Marais can't believe it

Proctor takes a superb one-handed catch to dismiss Blakey at last

Luke started steadily

Walsden's pro Coetzee came expecting a lot of sun !

Anwar guides the ball for a couple, his family looking on

Proctor got a bit warm so took the chance to expose his body again

Ward practices his forward defence, but the Walsden keeper can't stop himself laughing at it !!

Proctor shows him how

Tha fans see the funny side, although Wilky does seem to look at Bash very fondly

Proctor opens up smashing Coetzee for 4

This one fell just short of the boundary

Ward gets his defence right

before slamming one for 4

Blakey's technique

Above we asked how could a player with that technique score a century

Well here is the answer.....

He keeps his eye on the ball !!!

or where he thinks it should have gone !  It's in the keepers gloves Blakey !!

Well batted sir !!
